Intro to Acro Yoga

In practice, yogis seek a subtle connection between their body, breath, and mind. A connection that offers them opportunity for discovery about themselves, and their world, off and on the mat.

IMG_8620Tiffany Jo and Stephen Balsley want to help you explore this connection deeper through the art of Acro Yoga. Through the connection of practicing together: in large groups, small groups, and pairs, there is a broader context you can find. Plus, there is a spirit of adventure and fun as you solve the riddle of working with others.

Join Tiffany and Stephen for a beginner Acro Yoga workshop to introduce the key concepts for a safe, non harming, enlightening, lunar based Acro practice. From basic connections, to fundamental flows, the class will ask you to work with the whole group to find this connection and build on the principles to discover the fun of Acro yoga practice.

No need to bring a partner, this is a group experience – all levels are welcome.

IMG_20150129_121925Tiffany Jo. Movement and exploration have always been a part of Tiffany’s life. As a competitive gymnast for 8 years, she was constantly flying through the air or walking on her hands. When she discovered yoga, she immediately fell in love with the physical challenges it presented. When she decided to dive deeper into the 8 limb path of raja yoga, her consciousness began to evolve. She is honored to share the wealth of knowledge she has received from her teachers. Tiffany invites her students to remain present on the blissful journey, with prana as their guide.



unspecified-8Stephen Balsley. I believe yoga should inspire flexibility of mind, body, and spirit on and off the mat. I found yoga 16 years ago through a very classical practice as a means of cross training while competing as a cyclist. After a couple of years of using yoga as a source for flexibility, I discovered the discipline it inspired off the mat in my everyday life. As a husband, father, friend, and co-worker, I utilize yoga in almost every interaction to find calm and balance even in a world that seems to move at faster and faster speeds.
